Good morning all! As you may know, our online & social media co-ordinator, Ruth, is leading our project to create a new NRAS website. It would be great to have our Members help in improving our current site so please click on the link below! https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/3PJLP9B Best wishes, Emma

My word-you certainly haven't give us any time to complete this, have you? How ridiculous to expect everyone to see it and respond such a ludicrously short time frame!

Well I tried but it is already closed. Did anyone manage to complete this? That is a rediculous timeframe. Sue

I guess it's a mistake. Do you want to open up up the survey for us please Admins? Paul Barrett

Hi All,
Sorry that you didn't have a chance to complete it, it was on the home page of our website for over a week but closed yesterday so was really only a last minute push in case anyone had missed it. Next time I'll try and post the link as soon as it opens.
There will lots of opportunities to get involved with testing of the website over the coming weeks so as soon as they arise we will let you know.
Sorry again, Emma

Emma Which just goes to show how little we use the web site. Not to beat the point to death, but if the forum was part of the web site and the primary posting place, you'd have got the input you wanted........ Paul Barrett

Yes. I have difficulty switching between the website and the forum so tend to just head here. And as the forum is quite slow paced I don't log in here very often, so if there is something that requires a response I am unlikely to see it for a while.

Yes - I usually go straight to the forum and rarely look at the rest of the website. As we have lots of different headings I have always believed that anything important would show up. Sue

Hi All,
This was completely my fault, i didn't give Emma notice that the survey would close and she was just trying to help by getting a couple more responses. Our web developers decided on the next morning that we'd received enough input so it wasn't planned at all that the survey would end!
We always have news updates on the left hand side of the homepage so do keep an eye out here before you login to the forum once in a while. I appreciate you all attempting to give us some feedback and we will, as Emma mentioned need your help again in the coming weeks so we'll make sure to give you lots of notice when the time comes.
Thanks everyone.
Best wishes,
Ruth Grosart Digital Media Coordinator

I think the problem is most of us have the forum bookmarked on our computers / devices and so go straight there rather than logging in on the home page, hence we miss things on the home page.
I look at the website every now & then. There is some very useful and interesting articles but it is something I dip into. I look at the forum on my mobile / iPad much more often.
Thank you for all the good work you do.
Becky

I think many of us (me included) tend to forget that the forum is presently used by a huge minority of NRAS members and many who do not wish to belong to any kind of forum will check out the web site. I will get back into the habit once again and then maybe I won't miss something as important as this. It would be good though if Ruth posts links in future.

Yes, Becky that makes sense as you want to login in straight away! Thank you for taking time to look at the various articles and we are welcome to suggestions if there's anything you'd like to hear about. It's great to hear you are using the site on your iPad and mobile, the new website will be more mobile responsive so should make it a more enjoyable experience for you.
And yes Jean, there's so many places to put these things but we do normally take advantage of that News & Events slot on the homepage. We'll normally post things on here as well as the social media sites. This one escaped my post-RA Awareness Week frazzled brain unfortunately!
As you suggest I will make sure to post them here promptly in future and look forward to getting your feedback on the next stages of the website project.
Kind regards,
Ruth
